Paver cleaning
Paver cleaning is pressure washing for interlocking pavers on patios, walkways, steps and pool surrounds. We wash dirt, moss, algae, mildew and weeds off the face of the pavers and out of the joints, and bring back the color that a few New England seasons have dulled. The pressure is kept in check so the pavers get clean without blasting out the joint sand.
We're a cleaning company. We don't install, repair, re-level or re-sand pavers, and we don't seal them. If we notice low joints or loose pavers while we clean, we'll point them out so you can talk to a hardscaping contractor.
Surfaces we clean
- Concrete walkways, front paths and steps
- Paver patios and paver walks
- Natural stone and flagstone
- Pool decks and outdoor seating areas
- Edges and borders where moss and weeds take hold

Pavers look great when they're clean, but the sand in the joints is part of what holds them in place. Aggressive washing can blow that sand out, so we clean with that in mind: enough pressure to lift the grime and weeds, not so much that the joints get emptied. If your joints are already low, we'll let you know before we start.
The freeze-thaw factor
Rhode Island and Massachusetts winters swing above and below freezing again and again. Water that sits in dirty, organic-filled joints and pores freezes and expands. Keeping hard surfaces clean helps them drain and dry, and it gets rid of the slippery green growth that forms on shaded walks.
Spring is prime time
After the snow melts, walkways are coated with plow sand, salt residue and dirt, and patios have a winter's worth of leaf stains. A spring wash, timed after the heaviest pollen if you can wait, gets everything ready for the outdoor season.
